Web Photos That I Like

In a search for beautiful photographs of flowering gardens, I stumbled across a scene from the display gardens at Sunshine Farm and Gardens in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. Owned by Barry Glick, Sunshine is a nursery specializing in rare and unusual plants that are hardy to Zone 5. I am grateful that Barry allowed me to post this image, taken by the world-famous garden photographer Mark Turner of Turner Photographics. With advance notice, the display gardens, designed by Mathew Bishop of Devon England, may be viewed by the public. Although the farm focuses on breeding Heleborus, visitors have an opportunity to admire several thousand plants growing in the display gardens. Click onto Sunshine’s site for deails.

Great shot. I'll pop over to their site for a visit.

Allan, can you remind me what that creamy yellow plant is -- some kind of monarda relative? -- with its string of pompom flowers? I'm racking my brains and coming up blank.
