Another Photo From The Gardens of Broccoli Hall.

On February 10, 2010, I introduced readers to the gardens of Broccoli Hall, a private garden in Amenia, New York, on the east border of Duchess County, near Wassaic. Inspired by English gardens, it consists of a series of connected garden rooms, each differing in mood and content. Here is a view of another garden room:-  a 300 foot long rose garden, photographed by Jennifer May. Notice how inter planted and under planted perennials set of and enhance the pale colored rose bushes.

This year the garden will open to the public on May 16 and June 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to benefit the Garden Conservancy, a not-for-profit organization that preserves American gardens. To visit the Garden Conservancy Web site, click on this link. Go to the Garden Conservancy.
