I never planted pink flowers until my wife asked for a pastel English-style garden. When I became aware of the emotional effect that pink flowers had on everyone that visited my garden, I decided to pay special attention to that color. People's reaction to it is a puzzling phenomenon of human nature.
Allan.

Scott Weber comments on Ten Vivid Pink Garden Plants

Years ago, I would never have said that I liked pink flowers...but when I look around, I sure do have a lot of them :-)

Alistair comments on Meet a New Garden Blogger & Awesome Photographer

Quite correct Allan, I certainly was not disappointed.

Allan comments on Meet a New Garden Blogger & Awesome Photographer

Pat,
Correction made.
Allan.

Diane C comments on Plants That Need Companions Can Be Lovely

I live near Chicago and the forsythia bloom amid a riot of yellow daffodils as well different shades of hyacinth and tulips. I greatly appreciate your kind words and generous praise. Could I make one small correction? The blog name is Glen Villa: Site and Insight. The name comes from a phrase I read some years ago, written by John Dixon Hunt of the University of Pennsylvania. He used three terms, sight, site and insight. I think that is good advice for any garden designer. In fact, it's telling me I need to head outside to put my eyes to work!

Diane C comments on Joseph and His Plants of Many Colors

Thanks for recommending the book.
